The Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) mostly occurs after major Trauma, it results after a happening of any terribly frightening event, since 1980 the PTSD has been recognized as a formal diagnosis. There are some people who suffer from longer term post traumatic stress disorder; it can also last for many years. This disorder can occur in any age, if there is any disturbing event takes place for example any disturbing event happens or the death of any close relative or any other unforgettable event.

The people who get good social support and attention of a family, friends it will usually help them to protect against a post traumatic stress disorder, there may be physical, genetic and other social factors are involved, people who have been exposed to any mental shock in the past there is a increase risk of PTSD in them, the driving force behind phenomena are flashbacks, in Post-traumatic stress disorder the body responds in a different way to stress. Because it generally affect the chemicals and hormones which carry information between the nerves, person with post traumatic stress disorder re experience event again and again like they see flashbacks, for example they might dream about the event happened to them or they think about the memories of those events. Thus the person suffering from PTSD tends to avoid places, people and things that remind them of the event, and they get sensitive to normal life experience (Mason, 2005).
