In this study we try to explore the concept of “Positive Psychology” in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on “Positive Psychology” and its relation with “Psychological effects”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “Positive Psychology” and tries to gauge its effect on “Psychological effects”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “Positive Psychology” and tries to describe the overall effect of “Positive Psychology” on “Psychological effects”.

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology is a branch of psychology, emerging, which seeks to understand, through scientific research, the processes that underlie the qualities and emotions positive man, for so long ignored by psychology. The importance of positive psychology is that it is a field devoted to improving the quality of life. It is true that the issue of improving the quality of life has been dominated by insubstantial work, based on thoughts and opinions of the people, in contrast to scientific rigor. However, positive psychology provides well-supported studies in the area, supporting potential and actual changes (Oakland, 2007).

Positive Psychology's name does not mean that the other is negative psychology: simply emphasizes attitudes and positive emotions, reinforcing strengths and encourage behavior that guarantees good quality of life. The definition of this term will be positive psychology going much wider talking about their issues and their techniques, as can be seen, point to a psychology of prevention and promotion of behaviors, emotions and positive thoughts. The following will make a small mention of what could be defined as a theme of this new psychology, many of the topics covered were announced at the First Latin American Meeting on Positive Psychology held on 4 and 5 August 2006 in the city of Buenos Aires , Argentina, more precisely at the University of Palermo.
