Introduction

Health and care have a direct influence on human life. The progress and advancement in health care is of immense importance. It is a matter of fact that today; health care has been divided among Physicians, Medical Technologists, Nurses and Pharmacologists. In every field of medical, technology is a necessary element. Without introducing technology, no one can achieve the goal in the hospital setting. Along with patient care, a number of advancement and technology has been made in allied health sciences recently. The importance of data entry and record maintenance has become an inevitable part of hospital settings. Following discussion will emphasize on the effectiveness and importance of nursing information.

Development as Nurse Informatician

Nursing is a noble profession. It serves the suffering humanity through love and care. In the modern era of technology, the job of nurse has become very diverse. Nurse informatician is responsible for electronic medical records (EMRs) and communication. The Nursing information department influence the delivery of care and quality of service. With the help of data record, various issues can be solved and controlled in the future (Lynn, 2011).

I started my career as a nurse in Out Patient Department (OPD). By the time, I gained more and more experience and promoted on the basis of merit. Today, I am Assistant manager of the department of Nursing Informatician in Kings Hospital, Chicago. I am responsible to maintain data entry of the Critical Care Unit (I). Processing and recording data helps the physician a lot. Physicians can have regular briefing about patient's history and lab investigations. Nursing Information (NI) is a systematic approach that enables the administration to work with proficient co-ordination and team management.

Investigative role of Health care organization and individual

The Health care has developed into a modern field serving humanity. On a daily basis, thousands of people, all around the world, visit hospitals and consult to health care professionals. In the advance era of information technology, the role of health care organization has become much powerful. The value of investigation regarding care, precautionary measures and quality of service provided is of immense importance. The importance of investigation has become an inevitable part of health care practice. It avoids the uncertainty and ensures quality performance. Health care organization elevates the level of care and service through the investigation and data base (Chau et al, 2001).

Health care professional plays a critical role in the investigation. Their responsibilities have incredibly increased due to the advancement of technology. The quality care, individual assistance and family counseling in case of mishap are all included in the duty of health care professional.
