Assist and support all staff and function in a team to provide care to residents at all times.

Help to shower, bathe and shave patients while supervised by a registered nurse.

Apply practical intervention procedures for dementia or behavioral problems.

Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or any complaints about care to a supervisor.

Assist with rehabilitation exercises and basic treatment and medications.

Perform basic procedures such as taking blood pressure, as well as applying and changing dressings.

Nursing philosophy

The accumulation of the experiences of a person's life is included in the process known as health. Health is a non linear unit that cannot be disturbed or it cannot be qualified by less, good or bad terms. Therefore, illness is the condition that disturbs or creates hindrance in the process (Parse, 1981). Philosophy is the significant study of the main concepts and principles which involve a specific area of knowledge and it has the concept of modifying them or improving them (Philosophy 2011). According to Edwards (1997) the philosophy is an approach of moving towards reality and life that emerges from believes or the concepts of a nurse. The philosophy of nursing emerges from learning, work experience and personal believes of an individual. The philosophy also depends on four things which include environment, people and the environment, society, people receiving the nursing care. These aspects of nursing philosophy are discussed below.

The word society refers to a group of people who share common interests between them.
