Introduction

Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is one of the divisions of the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Assistant Secretary for Children and Families heads it. The Administration for Children and Families was the agency that was selected to be researched in this project. It was identified that this agency involves realistic goals and clear objectives to be achieved for the welfare of the society. This agency is also responsible for the effective administration and support of the families and children. It was analyzed during researching on this agency that it has potential top contribute towards the betterment of the citizens of the United States (ACF, 2013). A brief discussion is presented I this portfolio about the Administration for Children and Families to present the values and success of this agency and the strategies for the improvement of this agency.

Rationale for the Agency

It has been observed that the core objective of the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is to make families and individuals enough capable that they could increase their productivity and economic independence. This agency also encourages healthy and strong communities that could give a positive impact on the development of life of children's and individuals.
