Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the issue from the different perspectives including environmental, historical, social and cultural. The issue which has been for the purpose of analyses is population and the two perspectives for analyzing this issue are environmental and social perspectives. Population of the world is increasing day by day. The number of population of the whole world is continuously increasing which is becoming an alarming situation for the whole world. There are different reasons behind the increased population growth. However, it is necessary that the officials and concerned authorities should take the necessary measures to deal with increased population. There are different negative impacts of population on the world. These negative impacts affect the environmental, social, cultural and historical areas. This paper is an analyses of the ways through which the population is analyzed by different perspectives.

Environmental Perspective

The increased population is badly affecting the contemporary world, specially the areas of third world country. This has become a very important matter to be concentrated. Since 1963, the global rate of human population has badly risen which is an alarming situation for the environment of the world. As per different environmentalists, the main reason behind different problems related to the environment and climatic changes is because of the increased growth of human population. Popu8lation growth has become one of the major reasons behind the increased environmental problems. According to the different environmentalists, the increase in the population has led to an increase in the cleared rainforests. They also argue that with an increased rate of population, the wildlife and different plant species are also continuously disappearing. The population growth has also led towards an increase in greenhouse emission by 400% and more than half of the surface earth is utilized for the purpose of commercial transactions. As per the estimations, the continuous increase in population can result in the scarcity of water as well. It is expected the earth will face water scarcity in future as a result of growing rate of population. The scarcity of water will also lead to a difficulty in meeting appropriate water consumption levels, thus, destroying the effects of ecosystem.

Global warming is one of the dangerous issues prevailing in the current scenario. The main reasons behind increased global warming are heavy industrialization and pollution which is the result of increased population. With the continuous increase in population the demand for different products and commodities is also increasing which thus increase the trends of industrialization. Thus, the industrialization and pollution result in the increased global warming. As per the estimations, human population has increased from 1.5 billion at the end of twentieth century has reached to 7 billion by 2011. This growth of population has also given rise to the automobile, burning of fossil fuels, increased rainforest and agriculturalization.
