Political Characteristics of Angela Merkel

Miss Angela Merkel has been known to be one of the most powerful and highly influential political personalities in the context of European Union. Her critics have placed her on top of the list on the most effective political personalities. Many of her colleagues have been increasingly giving her approval as being one of the most effective political personalities of this era. A key reason for Miss Merkel's success has been the way she has handled her international commitments over the years. Her skills in dealing with international leaders have gone a long way in transforming the reputation of Germany as a powerhouse. Majority fans of Miss. Merkel have increasingly expressed that she has been doing her job in an appreciable manner. Her method of dealing with international personalities has gone a long way in successfully accomplishing her governmental tasks (Dolan, 2011). The recognition that Miss. Merkel has been able to achieve is aspired by many politicians and thus it is their dream to achieve such a status. Although Angela Merkel has often been associated with character traits such as being monotonous and indecisive, but in reality, Merkel is characterized by a vastly different political personality than her contemporaries. Miss. Merkel is stimulated by the element of technocratic power and has been known to have an aggressive approach in fulfilling the political motives. She comes up with innovative and effective political skills that go a long way in successfully accomplishing the political endeavour. Her critics have labelled her as being stubborn and disloyal. Merkel has been known to take critical decisions that have increased in effectiveness as the times progressed. There have been many situations in the past and at present that demand Merkel to exhibit critical decision making skills. Many of her contemporaries have credited her for the remarkable transformation of the German economy. Since Germany was also affected by the financial crisis and other critical issues, the steps taken by Merkel have gone a long way in successfully rehabilitating the German economy. Before her election, Germany was faced with a crisis, and needed a political leader that could exhibit effective global political leadership skills. With her election into office, Merkel took some timely decisions for the revival of German economy and successfully turned around the German economy. The aspect of international relations has also taken a boost with the magnitude of global political skills employed by Merkel. Without the presence of Merkel, Germany would have struggled to a considerable extent in successfully transforming the nature of German economy.
