Introduction

Poliomyelitis is a disease that is caused by the infection of polio virus. The poliomyelitis is mainly spread by the direct contact of a person with another person, or the contact of the infected “mucus or phlegm” through the nose or mouth, which can be said as to be spread via breath. The disease also comes into occurrence by contact wi9th the infected feces. Poliomyelitis is often referred to as polio or a type of paralysis, as in this disease a person loses the capability to properly function with the body parts that have been infected or affected by the disease. There are multiple possibilities through which the polio virus can spread and affect person. The disease has the capability to multiply in the blood and the system of the human body. It is the affect of poliomyelitis on the spinal cord that leads to the elements like paralysis. Polio virus is a member of the virus group related to the enterovirus family, which can highly create an impact of the human body processes, mainly the physical aspect of the human personality. It is a very common problem and organizations have been working on this problem since decades, so that they can bring the patient suffering with this virus, and provide them with reliefs.

Poliomyelitis (polio) is an extremely transferable viral disease that mainly affects little children. The polio virus is transmitted or transferred through impure food and water, and keep on expanding in the intestine of the sufferers, from where it can attack the nervous system of the human body. Etiology of Poliomyelitis

Poliomyelitis is caused by any of the three aspects that are a part of the polio virus which transfers into the human body. Poliomyelitis comes into occurrence and is caused by the polio virus, which is a highly infectious virus precise to the humans. Initial symptoms of polio include fever, fatigue, headache, vomiting, stiffness in the neck, and pain in the limbs. In a small proportion of cases, the disease causes paralysis, which is often permanent. Polio can only be prevented by immunization. The infection generally enters the surroundings in the feces of somebody who is impure and infected with this problem. In areas with poor system of sanitation, the virus spreads more easily all the way through the fecal-oral route, via impure water or food. Additionally, direct contact with someone infected with the virus can result in the suffering of that person with polio (Chan, 2008).
