Introduction

Policies are described as certain set of rules and regulations that helps individuals, business organizations and the government to make the right decisions. The term policy is not for what is actually done, it is basically referred to as the procedure designed to address issues. The policies are generally formulated by the senior governance body within an organization where rules and regulations are devised by the senior executives. Policies are formulated so that they can assess both in subjective and objective decision making.

Discussion

The government and the legislative bodies are responsible to formulate adequate policies for all the sectors in the nation. The health care industry is constantly changing as new and advanced technologies are being incorporated. Recently studies have declared that there have been many problems in the health care industry regarding diagnosis, doctors unable to access patient information and illegal use of patient's information. One of the most common issues is the use of technology in the health care industry. There have been many incidents where patient information has been placed on the internet and it has been accessed by many unauthorized users. The issue of privacy and security has become a great concern for patients and doctors.
