The name of this policy proposal is PL 111-148 Section 5310 Policy Change Proposal. Various lawsuits have been filed that challenge department of health and argue on this law, made for the benefits of American people. Many mandates have been made at an individual and at an organizational level. Few have managed to win; however, many are still in the process of court hearings. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act also commonly known as the Obama care Act which is a federal statute of United States that was signed into law by the President Obama on March 23, 2010. The name of this policy proposal is PL 111-148 Section 5310 Policy Change Proposal, which does not include pediatric nurse practitioners. The public policy question is that weather the mandate of federal government contains inclusion of pediatric nurse practitioners. The resolution to public policy problem is to amend section 5308 of PL 111-148 to say: Section 5308 would include pediatric nurse practitioners (American Association of Colleges of Nursing, 2010).

President Obama signed an act for affordable care considering reforms that tend to improve access to an affordable coverage for health for all the Americans, and also protecting citizens of America from vicious practices of insurance companies. This law empowers citizens for making their insurance choices that best work for them and also promises to improve quality of their life.

PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) also commonly known as the

Obama care Act is a federal statute of United States that was signed into a law by President Obama on March 23, 2010. It presents an important expansion of government and regulatory overhaul of healthcare system of United States, with healthcare and education reconciliation act.

It focuses on raising health insurance coverage rate for American citizens and also aims at reducing costs associated with healthcare, with mechanisms like; subsidies, mandates and tax credits for individuals and employers for increasing the rate of coverage. Congressional Budget Office estimated that PPACA will be lowering Medicare spending and future deficits.

Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ensures that all American citizens have an access to affordable, quality health care and creates transformations within the health care system that is very much necessary for containing costs. CBO that is Congressional Budget Office has decided that Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is completely paid for and provides a coverage for more than 90% Americans, staying within $900 billion limit established by the president himself.
