Policy analysis: Australian Health Care

Introduction

Policy making is the process in which the governments and the jurisdictions of nations translate their political and economical vision in the programs to get the desired outcome in healthcare. These desired outcomes basically are referred to the desired change in the world. The policy making process in any nation is influenced by the various social and economic factors and the media play a very essential role in shaping the social context of the policies.

The world and work of policy makers in the area of healthcare is becoming more complicated and unpredictable. The world today has become more interconnected and inter dependant and various social and political issues have forced the policy makers to change their policy and the process. Due to globalization, issues change from domestic and they become international and wide diversity of interest needs to be tackled immediately by the policy makers. In parallel with these factors, many external factors are also forcing the government and the policy makers to adopt new ways and methods that can work across the organization and which will help bringing change in the real world.

Throughout this paper we are going to cover the healthcare policy process in Australia. Policies are constantly reviewed and gone over to ensure that people receive the best healthcare possible. Each one has the potential to affect each of us on a daily basis, so careful consideration must be given when policies are proposed. It should be noted that the delirium may complicate an embolic stroke in nearly half of cases. Delirium and agitation postoperative effects are well documented now on postoperative morbidity. They induce an increase in serious morbidity likely to be life-threatening or cause serious functional issues.

When it arrives at the legislative stage is when the policy will be considered and this is where it is approved or denied. After the policy is approved then it goes into the implication stage. To me this is the most difficult stages. Inflicting change on people can be challenging because people will reject the unfamiliar. People get accustom to the way things are done and they will not accept any kind of changes. You can cut down on the retaliation by talking to people, explaining things to ...
