The two poems deal with the theme of love in a varying manner. 'If you forget me', one of the most famous poems of Pablo Neruda has the central theme of passionate love and scarification. The post is telling his beloved of the passion with which he loves her and explains her desire for her. He is telling her that whatever he does, sees and feels, it urges in him the desire to be with her. After telling her about his feelings, he states about the feeling of sadness and remorse that he might feel if she will go from his life and stop loving him.
