Project Management Methodology

The methodology of the project management is highly beneficial tool with various implementations for managing the human resource. The term Methodology critically refers to a systematic approach of practice, legal procedures, and conditions that are applied on the team working collectively for the project. The project management can also be described a cycle of planning, arranging, development, managing, communicating, and controlling of works to get a decided outcome. Hence, Project management methodology's objective is to provide a guidelines and methods of standard level to confirm that the project is ended on time and in the decided budget. During the project management keeping the consistency is also a fundamental task for the managers (Besner & Hobbs, 2008. P.20)

When one has decided to adopt a project management methodology there are many choices for the subject, few of them are:

PRINCE2 methodology for project management was developed for UK government in 1989 (KLR, p1, YND). PRINCE2 has been authorized as standard software for project management methodology in non government firms around the globe (NA, 2010).

Agile Management: it is an iterative method of organizing the design and make steps for engineering, IT, and new service or product development projects. It needs qualified persons from related work, with provider and input of the customer.

Around the globe many firms produce their own methodologies on the basis of the experience of the firm. Mostly they are tied to a System Development Cycles (SDLC).

PRINCE2

It is a structure base method that gives approach through standardized steps to the project management and provides best practices for project management. Completed projects by using PRINCE2 are led by a business case that shows company's commitment, justification and overall results (Scheid, 2012, PND). This methodology makes sure that the objectives set in business are being achieved by checking the case during the project life cycle (The FPGL, 2001, p. 2).

AGILE Project Management

PM is an indispensable and integral part of any software development process. Monitoring the relationships with customers, teams, risk management, cost reduction, looking after the deadlines and activities carried out and complete under the budget limitations.
