Mythic elements

The fabulous element involved in the movie plastic bag is the search of its maker. It relates to the story of many humans. Initially human started searching for their creator and passed down with the different stories in the end the story evolved in the religious aspect of individual's life. After watching the movie I came up with this mythical element.

Images used as art

Images which have been utilized in the movie includes some of the beautiful sceneries, such as vacant cities where there is no human being and plastic bag is flying, peaceful underwater scenes and landscapes which have a certain beauty.

Moral dilemma

One dilemma is included when the plastic bag is being used for our tasks. A plastic bag in a movie is happy to serve us. Later on the plastic bag being used less and less, and becomes discontent; eventually it ends up in the landfill and the maker is nowhere to be found. So the plastic bag must either stay in the landfill or go searching the vast human wastelands for its maker it goes searching. (Palmer, C. 1997) The second dilemma is wrapped around the idea that the plastic bag could stay in the vortex, where everything is bliss, or it could go searching for the lost love a red plastic bag. It goes to search for lost love. The third dilemma is the plastic bag wishes that it could die or exist no more. It wonders why its maker did not make it biodegradable. And finally, the viewer is left with a dilemma of whether to use plastic or paper when bagging groceries.
