The feature of software installation provided by the Group Policy let the user deploy on per user or per computer to your Active Directory Windows Application based Windows environment. The Active Directory is directory service of Microsoft trademark, a Windows 2000 architecture integral part. For the Windows network, the software installation feature provides within Group Policy distribution software for user capability, to provide unattended, targeted installation of application to your computers and users, it leverages the Windows Installer installation technology and packaging.

In this paper, we will be discussing about the how to deploy group policy software, GPO and how to recover active directory maintenance and disaster recovery. We will first introduce and give brief knowledge of what group policy software deployment is; the Group policy is the Microsoft Windows feature that management configuration for the desktops and servers of Windows in an environment of Active Directory. For the Windows network, the software installation feature provides within Group Policy distribution software for user capability, to provide unattended, targeted installation of application to your computers and users, it leverages the Windows Installer installation technology and packaging. To deploy the software to your servers and desktops (Windows), there are many automation ways. For the most related organizations, Windows Group Policy offer tremendous value. The software installation feature provided by the Group Policy let the user deploy on a per user or per computer Windows application to your Windows environment which is based on Active Directory. It meets the needs of much organization while Group Policy Software Installation (GPSI) has limitations. It will be discussed about how one can use this technology so that it gives you best effects. In GPSI, installations of two different types are assigning and publishing of applications. There are subtle difference amongst the two, yet there are important assignments on a per user or per computer basis, the availability of per user is applicable only in publishing.
