Taco Bell is a Mexican Fast food restaurant which started in California as a hot dog stand and now it is growing in international markets with franchises located in various continents around the world as stated by (Hueter & Swart, 1998). It serves more than a couple of million customers each year in the U.S. only. It initially introduced a menu comprising of tacos, berritos, quesadillas, nachos along with specialty items and a wide range of value meals. This essay states the operational efficiency acquired from effective leadership processes, SWOT analysis and PEST analysis. Proper planning enables businesses such as Taco Bell to reduce costs which would have incurred otherwise.
Leadership
Taco Bell places emphasis on team working where the Human Resource (HR) department and operations department work in integration to pursue better functionality and simple processes as stated by (Calao, n.d.). The running of the restaurant depends on quality human resource that provides up to mark services to its customers. In order to achieve efficiency in planning and functioning of Taco Bell, the company relies on a set of integrated operations which includes relevant research models. Forecasting determines the optimal number of labor required to serve and also deals with customer orders pertaining to the prediction of customer demands and customer arrivals.
