Research Strategy

Research is said to be a process that can be termed as a systematic investigation as well as studying of materials along with utilization of different relevant sources which can facilitate in establishment of facts and consequently development of new conclusions. It is only via conducting a systematic research that that a credible conclusion can be achieved. Since research is time consuming by nature it can becomes mandatory for the researcher to have a specific road plan to conduct the research and that road plan should be made in a strategic manner so that all expected loopholes in the research is taken care off so that an efficient and effective research is done. In order to have an effective and efficient research one needs to have a research strategy (Connaway, 2010, p. 100).

The first crucial step in initiating a research is to establish a research topic based on which the research is going to be conducted on. It is a premise based on which there will be a development of the road map as well as the research strategy. Once the topic has been decided the immediate step is to decide on the apt research method that is going to be utilized to conduct the research. There are two modes of research method and those are qualitative and quantative research. Qualitative research here refers to a kind of research that is concerned with social and behavioral sciences such as psychology, anthropology and sociology. Basically Qualitative research is concerned with the behavior and the perception of the targeted sample and in order to gather data in relation to it then tools are made use of. The tools include questionnaires, in-depth interviews as well as focus groups. The other form of research method is the Quantitative method which is concerned with the systematic as well as empirical investigation of a social phenomenon. The data is processed via tools like mathematical, statistical as well as computational techniques (Creswell, 2003, pp. 45).

It is after deciding on the topic as well as the research methodology that the process of literature review initiates. The literature review includes information which can be termed as secondary research (Hamilton, 2005, p. 2). Literature review further aids in developing an in depth understanding of the topic. Literature review also aids in understanding what has been previously don on the topic and the key issues that were faced which can further aid the researcher into conducting a hindrance-free research. The data is researched in relation to the topic and is extracted from journals, books as well as the articles. The journals and articles are not just any kind of articles they are scholarly articles and academic journals that are utilized to provide a support for the research topic of the researcher. Other sources of research are the books that are available online. The books that are available online is said to be more comprehensible since ...
