The business plan

Target market

Our segmentation is done on the basis of geographic location (Yardley area), gender (females only), age (all ages), accessibility (available at footstep), need for customization (full customization) and need for quality (high quality) (Business Planning Center, 2012).

Our Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is providing high-quality service to the customer at his footsteps with bespoke customization.

Market analysis

There are about 100 hairdressers in the greater Birmingham city (Yell, 2012). However, there would be only about 7 to 10 hairdressers in the Yardley area. However, none of them will be providing mobile services the way we will do.

The total population of the Yardley area is about 53,000 people (27,000 in South Yardley Ward, and another 25,000 in the Stechford and Yardley North Ward) (Brumagem, 2011). This is a huge population to be catered by only 10 hairdressers. Therefore, there is a huge market potential for our business.

Location

The location of the business is limited to providing services in the Yardley area of Birmingham with a mobile van containing the hairdresser/beautician's complete hair saloon and beauty ...
