Introduction

Physical fitness is an indispensable constituent of overall health and well-being of an individual either a younger one or a fully grown up. Seeing that younger generation of today's era may possibly be the foremost in the United Kingdom to have an expectancy of life shorter than their parents. Inactivity and poor nutritional habits causing lower levels of fitness of many of today's youth could be a factor of contribution. In addition, the National Association of Sports and Physical Education (NASPE) have considered physical strength and a healthy standard of living essential. It is suggested for the children at school going age that they should accumulate 60 minutes as a minimum and equal to numerous hours of physical activity for each day whereas staying away from extended episodes of idleness. This is the reason why physical literacy is significant for an individual. Physical literacy is an adaptation of physical activity, the children's developmental level. Implementation is very important because what the child does not do at this stage of his life, as an adult it will be very difficult to learn and to incorporate it into their motor skills. This paper will demonstrate the importance and significance of physical literacy and physical activities, especially in children.

Literature Review

There is inadequate evidence found on the efficacy of the efforts of promoting health. There has been proof of enhancement in understanding and acquaintance, and variations in accordance with sexual characteristics (Higgs et al, 2008, pp. 12-30). Majority of the research studies have not come across at the young individuals who have been excluded socially or the children who hardly ever grace with their own presence at schools. The majority of young individuals see physical movements as advantageous for the reasons of their health and the society both. In particular, young females value the function of physical doings in order to maintain their body weight and a toned stature of the body, but, contrasting young males, they find that the physical movements are not taken on sound with their spare time. Haskell, et al. (2012) agrees and adds to that the health advantages of physical activity have an enormous impact of the concerns of health that could become chronic in later stages. The literature recognizes the inactive habits of living and deprived health as substantial problems of health and evaluates the aptitude of physical activity to put a stop on diseases and improve life quality.

Physical Literacy

The term 'physical literacy' is the motivation, confidence, physical competence, understanding and knowledgeable individuals did develop in order to maintain physical activity at level of appropriate throughout their life (Whitehead, 2010, pp. 44-64).
