Abstract

This personal model in developing a Biblical theory for Christian counseling addresses the important complexity of personality that is founded on Biblical principles with multitasking. The model is Biblical centered that will discuss the aspects of integrating theology, spirituality, and psychology. This model is designed to be used by psychologists, lay counselor, unsaved counselor, and the theory will benefit all people. The theory will help the client to develop Christ likeness while attending counseling. The theory will have a built in systems to include the work Holy Spirit being active in the lives of the client. The counselor will attempt to spiritual restored client while integrating him back into the life of the church. The model will also include secular psychology. There will be counseling for special cases such as group therapy. The overall goals of the theory model will be to help the client special young children and to help them to learn that God is alive and show them from a biblical perspective that God love his people.

Introduction

The value of human is priceless as compared to any other creation of God, due to the fact that humans are made with the precious blood Christ, which is much more precious than silver and gold. Humans are made with the lamb which was free from any kind of defect or blemish (1 Peter, 1990, 1:18, 19). This is the major point of focus for the Christian counselor, and thus he becomes able to understand the ultimate value and beauty of the God's work.

In order to develop an effectively working Christian counseling theory, it is essential to make its foundations based on the religious theories as well as on multitasking and integration of different counseling theories. The major goal of a Biblical Counseling model is to help the client in reaching a new state of personality through using the examples and image of Christ. Such model will be mainly based on the assumption that God always remains actively involved in the lives of every human being, and He is busy doing good for them. The model presented in this paper will use various theories which are based on secular psychology as well as on Scripture; these theories will help in forming the model which would be well aligned with the above mentioned assumption regarding God's involvement. Keeping the major context of changing the state of client, it would be required for the Christian counselor to make every possible effort for restoring the relationship of the client with the God and Father Christ.
