Introduction

Aim of the Research

The aim of this research is to analyze and evaluate the role of leadership and its importance with respect to personalized learning in school setting. Several sources such as journals, articles, research papers etc. and concepts related to leadership and personalized learning have been used in development of effective conclusion.

Personalized learning

Personalized learning is the systematic and deliberate process of emphasizing. It is an effective and efficient approach of learning that inspires the concept of Deep Learning. Personalized learning motivates young children to become more engaged in classrooms, and can become more devoted partners in achieving success in career (Adey, 1999). It does not only deal with the transference of skills and knowledge but also moves beyond the classroom structure where the practical aspects are taken into account. It is because the students gain more knowledge that had been taught using traditional methods of learning which are primarily developmental years with the most impact.

Personalised Approach

Personalised approach is related to providing support individuals or students irrespective of their needs not treating them as on of mass/ focus in supporting that individual following the five elements. In the past, the education sector was not that much effective and responsive to adopt positive change, which could help in bringing significant difference in the society. Now, in this digital age we are better able to visualize the educational leadership and personalized learning approach in the educational settings. New educational strategies such as mentoring, target setting and tutoring have helped the educational sector to improve the process of learning and education, as now students and teachers are better able to access sources which are helpful in gaining maximized knowledge.

There were two methods of personalized learning that were used previously, the conventional and the traditional style. After the advancement in the technology who has brought changes in the styles of personalized learning. The advancement in technology has created awareness in students. Now days there are more exposure of knowledge and personalized learning is found among the students. There are certain researches that have been done in this digital age and technological advancement has made it possible. This will help students to boost personalized learning (Coffield, 2004).

Five Elements of Personalized Learning

There are five elements of personalized learning which have been used by Education and Skills department in England. There five elements include Effective learning and teaching, Learning Assessment, curriculum entitlement and choice, school organization and beyond the classroom (Leadbeater, 2004).

Effective Learning and Teaching

Effective element is one of those important elements of personalized learning. In school most of the teachers forces students to ask questions.
