First Part

I was born in Ecuador, in this country the people are lazy, they don't expect much of themselves and this people are happy as how they are, without realizing what they can accomplish.

Of all my family, my father was the only who made an effort to be better, and he accomplished it, a couple of months ago he opened his own company, he is an engineer, and that is one of the reasons I want to be an engineer.

In life people have different dreams and aspirations of the things they wish to accomplish during their life time; however not all people manage to achieve the goals they set due to different social, political and economical factors that prevent them from turning dreams into reality. It takes a lot of patience, hard work and determination to overcome all the obstacles that come our way as we climb up the academic, social, economic and professional ladder

Ever since I was a child I dreamed of building cars, building planes and stuff like that, I have loved this so much that my dream is to have my own car company, I even know the name of my future company and I already have the car designs, the only thing left is to become an engineer, which will give me the necessary skills to start my future project.

I come from a Christian school, I studied there my entire high school, and this school changed how I view the world. This is a multicultural school, meaning that I have friends that come from Korea, England, the US, Mexico, Canada, among others. This showed me that we are all equal and that if we want something we can get it, no matter how hard it will be for us.

I don't get this very much, but I can say that the school influenced in the community I lived on, studying in a multicultural school showed me that we are all equal, doing volunteer work showed me that many people in Ecuador don't have a future for themselves, and if I could accomplish something big, it could show others that they can be better.

We live in a "digital village" which is controlled by internet, science and technology and by being given a chance to pursue my engineering degree at the university I hope to contribute positively to the growth and development ...
