Everybody has different passion in his life and works for that passion. Same is the case with me, since my childhood I have been interested in designs and buildings. It was my dream since childhood that I would construct a building. I always dreamt of becoming an engineer. My passion and enthusiasm towards construction and property side has forced me to strive towards my goal of life. I have always made efforts and studies hard in order to fulfil my aim of life. I took science subjects in my high schools. Afterwards, after having completed my undergraduate studies in 'Civil engineering' at the University of Surrey and receiving Third class BEng Honours degree in August 2010, I am keen to continue my education towards MSc degree in Management in Construction at Kingston University. I believe this to be the perfect bridge between my academic and professional life. My aim for continuing my studies in this field is to develop and broaden my skills and knowledge of management in construction, in order to prepare myself for an eventual career in the rapidly expanding and challenging world of engineering (Abernathy, 2000,, P 68).
I develop an interest in construction management during my high school years in Iran while my family was carrying numerous building constructions; I took an active part in the family business, managing the construction processes. I worked closely with my fathers company paying attention to the way of managing the construction process and contract. After leaving home and coming to the UK for higher education, I began to read the article and investigate about the most complicated project in the world and find out how construction processes work. Now more than ever I realised the good way of managing the construction's processes is one of the most important issues in the construction industry. During past 5 years which can be divided into two parts, the first part was mostly spent towards studying at Surrey University in order to build my knowledge in this field of study and the second part is involved with my job experiences which have been gained from the corporation towards our family business. I have achieved very useful aspect of management in construction such as contract laws, building resource, waste water and recycling (Abernathy, 2000,, P 68).
During my degree at university, I took further interest in construction management through taking the construction and business management module which informed me about how to manage the contracts also about the financial part of the process. Furthermore, the module opened my eyes to the management part of the construction industry, and I became familiar with this field.
After completing my graduation in Bachelors in civil engineering, I went back to my country on Dec 2010, and started working in one of a very high ranking construction and development company, where I worked in full time job as an engineer. In that company, I learned a lot about the construction and property ...
