Personal Statement

The field of teaching has always been an inspiring field for me since many years. The profession has given me the confidence and motivation to work better in assisting others in their learning experience. I have worked so much in the field of teaching in the past. I have volunteered in numerous programs in schools and also participated in workplace experience placement.

My desire is to become a primary school teacher. I love working with children, and helping them in their studies. Recently, it is my 3rd year at the University of East London (UEL) where I am studying the early childhood studies. There were only ten students in the whole university who were selected for the Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) and I was one of them.

In the past I worked in a number of situations and placements as a teacher, sometimes as a co-teacher and sometimes as a helper and volunteer to enhance and polish my teaching skills.

Currently, I am also teaching at nursery classes, where I also play with children and teach them in a friendly environment. This is also a good experience which I am having right now as in my opinion, teaching younger children is one of the most difficult jobs.

Last year, I worked at a church in teaching children reading and writing the Holy Communion Lessons and also was engaged in having meetings with the parents of the children. Now this year, I also plan somewhere where I may show my skills and hard work to get some more experience in the profession. I am planning to start babysitting this summer.
