For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated and intrigued by the captivating beauty of sparkling white teeth. It is indeed a true statement that a smile can, at times, make words sound superfluous and redundant - it can narrate so much more than what a person can express through words. My affair with dentistry dates back to college life when I chose the unique profession as a career path. Although we may not always realize it, we owe our ambitions and dreams to our personal life experiences. Similarly, my passion to become a dentist is also based on a life experience.
When I had just started my college life, my grandfather visited a prosthodontic dental practitioner to get his teeth set replaced with sparkling white dentures - I was accompanying him. I had personally observed how my grandfather, who was always a jovial and cheerful man, had become gloomy and distraught after losing two of his teeth. After waiting for what seemed like hours, my grandfather came out of the operation theatre and I cannot express in words the elation I could see on his face and the tears of joy in his eyes as he flashed his new sparking white teeth.
It was at that particular instance that I resolved to become a dentist so that I could help people in rediscovering the joys and beauty of life and bringing about a positive change in their lives by gifting them a wonderful smile. Since then, I have been keen to pursue dentistry as a career. I completed my DMD from Moscow Medical Stomotological Institute in the year 1999 over a period of 6 years.
