Personal Statement

Since Childhood, everybody has a dream to excel in any professional career. Priorities depend upon a person to person, but wish to become the best would always prevail in heart. We select our path according to our interests as everybody has some unique qualities, interests, and habits according to which they choose their career. Moreover, when it comes to deciding career environment plays a vital role. Your thinking and interests build up with the environment where you live, and you were influenced by people with whom you are living with. Your siblings, friends, teachers and most importantly your parents played a very important role in deciding your path.

Since my childhood, my father wants me to become a doctor. His dream is that one day I will become a doctor. From my days of schooling when I was just a child of 5 or 6 years, my father had inculcated this dream in my mind that I have to become a doctor one day. This is not a hasty decision; instead, I had grown up in an environment where I saw my father treating people free of cost. He was a practical nurse who just for the sake of community service helps others. My father always helped the needy people, and he not only treats them but also provide them basic medicines free of cost. As my father treats patients in a home, I always watch him delivering his 100 percent to make feel patient better. He inspired me a lot, and always tried to help him in his work, he neither refused nor accepted my offer but always gave me a positive gesture. He became my role model, his motivation and dream to see me as a doctor always prove to be a source of power for me to fulfill his dreams.

As my father was my inspiration, and I want to fulfill his dream, therefore, I took a keen interest in his work. I remember so many times I want to touch his instruments he used to treat patients, my interest in his work makes my father happy. He always used to say, there is a difference between a nurse and a doctor, you should not touch these instruments because you are a doctor. My father chose me among my siblings for schooling after watching my interest and passion of learning and achieving something in life. I was full of hopes and excited that it is a time now to fulfill the dream of my father. From the very first day in school, when my teacher asked that what career I want to pursue in the future, I confidently replied her that I will become a doctor, which surprised her a lot. I was so passionate to become a doctor that slowly it became my nickname “doctor”.

When I was in the junior school, the worst moment of my life occurred that changed my life completely. My father who is my role model, inspiration, and motivation to achieve my dreams was killed by an army of neighbor ...
