The most important courses that have fascinated me throughout my life are all the courses which have numbers involved in it. Finance and Accounting (Banking, International finance and Business Management) remained the most important courses during my early studies. My desire to study Finance and Accounting has grown over the years. My journey to determine what I wanted to pursue in the future began in year 9 when I was reluctant in aspiring to become a doctor. However, I realized that I lack enthusiasm in the area of medicine therefore I decided not to become a doctor.

I then realised that I was naturally good at numbers, which was evident through constant high grades in all the courses that involved numbers. I acknowledged that I had a passion for working with numbers and problem solving came naturally to me. Towards the end of year 10 I was certain that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to administer my ability to work with numbers. After much research and speaking to many people that had been in the same situation as me, I realised that I was passionate about Finance and Accounting (Banking, International finance and Business Management). I had secured my first work experience placement at an accountancy firm in Kilburn called 'Hafeez and Co'. The work experience lasted for 2 weeks and during this period I observed the everyday life of a Chartered Accountant. I was entrusted with organising important documents for the firm which allowed me to apply my IT skills. This experience made me more dedicated to pursue a career in Finance and Accounting (Banking, International finance and Business Management). I have recently undertaken another 2 weeks of work experience at a Chartered Accountancy firm called 'Errington Langer Pinner.'
