Why I want to become Counselors

As I am sitting here at my table, and attempting to draw out on writing a magnificent personal statement so that I may get better recognition throughout the application process, I have fully realized that the concept of life.

When the hurricane Katrina had hit New Orleans, LA, I was at safe at my home, but I could see that there were a number of people, who had suffer a lot because of that hurricane. People were suffering from depression because of the losses they had suffered. At that time, I kept seeing people on TV and for them. I really wished that I could have done something to help these people, helped them in some way that would have eased their pain.

At that time, there was a big question in mind that has the pain for others lapsed in the heart of people? Have we reached an era in which humanity has ended? If I had not studied the principles of Psychology, I would never have found answers to such questions. I have discovered that are provided by the study of Psychology. I have always tried to discover different ways that would help me in dealing with humans and would enable me to provide assistance and guidance to people in different aspects of life. Studying the basic principles of psychology has farther encouraged my interest in the concept of counseling others and assisting others through my knowledge of human psychology. Every day in my life, I manage to witness some facets of human conduct, which could have come straight from a textbook of psychology. The study of psychology has brought me in to my life, and this made enabled me to realize that how much I love the subject of psychology.

In the start of our life, all of us were provided a clean paper. Whatever things we had chosen to place on the given clean paper influences the outcome for us. The experiences of life that have filled my sheets have forged me into who am I today. My survival in extreme, difficult times and my temperament to persist in the confrontation of obstructions has made me unique.
