Personal statement

Since I was in high school, Biochemistry was one major that I hope I can get into. I liked chemistry and also biology since I first encountered them. Especially my family members encouraged me to pay more attention to those coursed and spend more time with those courses. Also all the teachers that I had encountered have been good teachers, and the way they taught the subject made the subject more appealing to me. Those experiences helped the development of my interest.

After I am done with my high school, I began to wander which major should I choose. I my families suggested that I take biochemistry. The reason is that I am both interested in biology and chemistry. Also personally I think biochemistry is a major that I will enjoy. Due to the experience that I had before, I am interested in more details that involving those two subject.

A year ago, I visited one of my cousins who also major in biochemistry, and at that he is working in a laboratory. The experiment tool they use and the experiment they are doing are really fascinated me. Also the passions and skills that they demonstrated in the lab also motivated me to be more careful about my own studies. This experience helped me to be more patient and careful in every lab that I had. Also I put more effort into the work that I suppose to do. As more effort I put into the course, I gain more interest in this major. I believe I like this major and I can spend my life with it.
