Personal Statement

Being such an intimate observer to the harsh realities of life and death left me with a deep sense of human fragility. I recognized that the human body is so very elaborate and attractive in its complex delicacy. Working nearly with doctors, revising health texts, and nursing a very ill little girl provided me my first taste of medicine. I was too numbed with pain, although, to focus my thoughts on any designs to go in that field.
