Personal Statement

The passion that has encouraged me to pursue my studies in the field of nursing has come from different experiences in life. I grew up in a rural part of Haiti I witnessed extreme level of poverty and constant suffering in terms of both physical and mental. This suffering was mainly among the women and the children of my community in Haiti. Another driving force behind my passion for nursing was my grandfather's death due to lack of medical care. This incident strengthened my will to pursue my higher education and career in the field of medicine.
