Personal Statement

It had been my lifelong dream of studying in a foreign university in order to attain better expertise and increased level of knowledge. Initially, the basic motivation behind this step was the job opportunities that a student gets after getting qualified from a good foreign university, which is recognized internationally. After graduating from high school, I was able to persuade my parents in letting me go abroad for the purpose of studying. In addition to that, I strived at improving my English language skills as well. I have always been a hard worker and I was able to prove this in my early college years, where I had to work twice as hard as everyone else. I am known to be very skillful in the subject of mathematics and an overall GPA of 3.75 is sufficient proof for that. This is why I wanted to apply to UW, as I think it is one of the best options for me. I have always been fond of the field of computer programming.

This interest was generated within me from the age of 7, when I received my first computer. Since then, I had been determined to develop my own programs, which at the time mainly included games. However, it is important to note that since I was a good student of physics and mathematics, I was able to apply the same concepts in my java classes as well. I always admired the skills of being able to develop your own program and being able to modify it as required. This expertise is one of those things, which I will be able to improve and get a better knowledge of at UW. UW is known to be one of the best universities, considering the field of computer sciences and it is personal opinion that graduates of UW are able to attain enough knowledge, which would increase their chances of being the best in the field. I plan on making UW proud of me one day, if given a chance to study there.

Another important thing to consider is that a four year graduation degree from UW will enhance my chances of getting in an internship program in giant companies, which would include Face book, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. These are the primary reasons for me opting for such a prestigious University as I would significantly enhance my experience as well as my ...
