Personal Statement - Transfer to USC Business School

In this brief discussion, I will describe my academic interests and how I plan to pursue them at USC Business School. I will address my reasons for transferring and the objectives I hope to achieve. In order to so adequately, I will reflect upon my high school and collegiate experiences in order to highlight the activities outside of the classroom that reflect my most personal values and strengths. In addition, I will elaborate on the role and relevance of the extracurricular activities that have contributed to my development.

My initial experience in the US was heavily influenced by the fact that my proficiency in the English language was severely limited; thereby restricting my ability to communicate altogether. My inability to communicate actively clashed sharply with my desire to communicate; leaving me in an awkward position. Every time I was unable to communicate my thoughts and ideas to my peers, I would become increasingly aware of the importance of communication and interaction. This experience influenced my perceptions extensively and led me to take a practical approach to life.

I plan on pursuing my academic interests at USC Business School by remaining an active part of the student body and maintaining a close working relationship with my instructors. In essence, I will utilize the opportunity to study at USC Business School to develop a dynamic approach that places me on the track to personal and professional development. This is because I believe that a static mind is a stagnant mind.
