Nothing is as important, not wealth, power or class as health. I grew up with this notion constantly being reminded by my grandmother. This dogma of my grandmother has instilled in me a quest to do something that would not only allow me to keep myself healthy but also help others in being fit. With this regard, nothing could be a better choice for my career than medicine. In the field of medicine, I can pursue this notion, not only for me, but for the society combined with my interest in science. By associating myself with the medical field I will get an opportunity to further fine tune my caring personality. What urges me to select this field is my concern for well being of an individual, humanity, peace and a joyful life. For me, the most significant thing in life is health.

Besides the personal beliefs and values my educational background also provides me impetus to study this field. My educational background showed me a glimpse of the field of medicine. When I was in grade VIII, I studied human anatomy. I was astonished by this university enrichment course to learn about the human body works and how God has created this whole internal system. After attending this course, my urge to know more about functioning of the human body increases. Projects and internships also lend a hand to me to understand the variegated facets that are associated with human body. My research internship at a Heart Institute has provided me with an excellent opportunity to further explore medicine. I worked alongside many imminent healthcare professionals and doctors.
