PERSONAL STATEMENT

In the very high competition of modern world, one must be equipped with the knowledge, experience, and ambition to become a successful person in the world. It is my goal of life to gain knowledge with my strong ambition to study at a leading U.S. university.

Culture: I have encountered many challenges to adjust myself with academic lifestyles and cope up with my studies to enhance my skills. Although it was not an easy task, but I tackled successfully with adjustments required from newly adopted lifestyle during college studies. Initially I encountered great difficulty to deal with people belonging to different lifestyles, but now I take them as learning experiences and little enjoyable adventures for my personality development. It helps me to understand different cultural flavors and give satisfaction as I have always respected cultural diversity. I believe every culture has a lot of humanitarian traditions to teach us. Therefore, we must respect all cultures of the world. I belong to Indonesia, but I am attracted by the cosmopolitanism and rich cultural diversity of the US when I visited it for the first time. I think the diversity of culture and peaceful coexistence are two things that are important for someone who would like to pursue a career in business. I am a firm advocate of the diversity of all cultures. I also have an advantage to adapt myself to the people from different cultures, as my parents themselves acquired their education from the United States.
