Personal Statement

My name is Zulfiqar Ahmed Siddiqui. I was born on 22nd February 1952. My home country is Pakistan and I grew up in beautiful city of Karachi. I completed my Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Secondary School Hyderabad, Pakistan in year 1956 to 1966. Then I did my Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Government t Polytechnic Collage Hyderabad, Pakistan in 1968 to 1971. I belong to family who value the education as long learning process. So, I pursue for further education and did my Electrical Engineering by obtaining the Degree of Bachelor Technical Honors from NED University Karachi, Pakistan in 1982 to 1985. I did my Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Western Valley Central University USA in 2010 to 2012 as distance learning program.

For professional development, I completed the integration analysis for electrical distribution and Geographic Information system (GIS) with MAP Company from October, 2005 till December, 2005. Further, I have written a professional paper, which is based on technical report covering the study of demonstration of the value of integrating electrical distribution analysis and Geographic Information System (GIS). This professional development helped me in building my professional skills and expertise in the areas of Engineering.

I have vast portfolio of skills and expertise in area on Engineering with over 40 years on experience. I value the learning as long life process, and I aim for gaining more knowledge in the areas of my field. I started my professional career in 1972 from Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Hyderabad, Pakistan as Switch Board Operator. I worked here for 4years till 1976. My responsibility in this job was to operate the city distribution electrical system network via grid, primary, secondary and sub stations 11KV/415V from Operator room of power supply station. In case of emergency for city power supply, my responsibility was to consider the National Grid Station with required weight age of load management in time of load shedding. In year 1994, I moved to United Arab Emirates and started my professional career from U.A.E Armed Force Military Works in Abu Dhabi as Electrical Sergeant. My responsibility for this job was to consult & handled Various Project including Urban & Ruler Area by completing a huge project of Officer Club in Mussafha, and continued my working with taillibert Gulf Environment French Consulting Firm.
