Personal statement

My name is Pengyuyue and I was born on 24th march 1990. My birth place is Zhengzhou which is a city of Henan Province. Currently I am enrolled in Santa Monica College but aiming to get myself transfer to University of California. Since I started my schooling, I have a keen interest in studies and have scored remarkable grades throughout my school life. I was not only enthusiastic about studies but also I showed great interest in extracurricular activities. Playing Piano is one of my passions. I have been playing this instrument since I was 8 years. Apart from playing Piano, my interest also revolves around other activities such as playing basketball, swimming and taking participation in majority of the events held in my Alma matter. During primary schooling, I had the opportunity of participating in a 500 meter long race in which I managed to secure the 3rd position.

Apart from sports competition, I also participated in one of the computer competition held in our school. During this competition I learned a lot of things related to computer and technology. Through the help of excellent grasping skills, I managed to secure 2nd position in the computer competition.

I have excellent management skills. This can be proved from the evidence that I was appointed as a class monitor through our primary school, middle school and high school. When I was in Primary school, my school principle provided me the opportunity of being a class monitor. Normally, the duration of a class monitor is limited to one session only, but due to excellent management skills I was able to preserve this position till high school.
