One of my famous quotes is of Abraham Lincoln he states that "Determine that the thing can and shall be done, and then we shall find the way." Over the years as I grew up I saw this quote coming to reality in the workaday life. It is through determination, the passion that an individual encompasses, as well as the affection anything is possible to accomplish. Ever since my life I gained success with the help of my positive attitude and determination to succeed. It is therefore, one of the main reasons why I want to get an admission in California State University in the Long Beach's Master's program. I have a habit of never giving up, in the early college days I was in a debilitating auto accident that put me into a coma for 21 days, and left me hospitalized for 8 months. I never gave up. I believed that the direction I was going in was more important than the place I was.
The above mentioned story shows my determination, along with the positive attitude I have towards the life. In the Student Development program of Higher Education it primarily represents the peak of a number of long-term goals which I aim, in life. With the help of graduation degree, it obviously means that I can overcome the medical assessment I got in my first year of college that I would never walk again or be independent.
As soon as I recovered with the treatment I returned back to school which was due to the through rehabilitation that I was able to walk normally once again. Two short years later, I had finished my Associates of Science in Biology at West Valley Community College in Northern California, and transferred 367 miles away to attend California State University, Long beach. Despite the fact, that my GPA was admittedly low, as I scored 2.0 G.P, even then I belief in myself, which mainly mattered. It was with the help of my determination and positive attitude that I was able to raise my GPA to 2.5 in just 55 units. In overcoming these challenges, I developed full confidence that I can succeed in your program by applying that same determination, as well as the perseverance.
