Many individuals feel as if they are drifted in this world, they study and work hard but they don't seem to get anywhere worthwhile. A major reason for this is that they have not spent enough time thinking about what actually they need from life, they haven't set formal goals. Goal setting is the powerful tool for motivating one self and for thinking about your future to turn the vision of it into reality. This process basically helps a person to judge where he will go in life. These goals give a person short term motivation and long term vision. It helps to manage time and organizes resources by which you can make the most of your life. It helps to raise your self confidence as a person recognizes his own competence and ability in achieving those goals (Pedlar et al, 1994).

The decision of entering into a teaching career is not something to be taken lightly. Although there are many other careers which you can choose from but I believe teaching profession is a respectable job. It is a increasing and the most important profession for individuals from all walks of life. For this reason I choose to apply for teacher prep program in English after completing a four-year undergraduate pre service teacher education degree for example, a Bachelor of Education. The purpose of the teacher prep program was to prepare the students for the unique challenges in the coming century, and to make them critical thinkers and lifelong learners so that they become professionally brilliant. I was really happy to join this program as it was great way to mark my accomplishment and build my career at a very initial stage.
