The paper aims to discuss the personal learning retrospective with the help of different theoretical perspectives i.e. Expectancy Value Theory as well as Vygotskian Perspective. The theories are also related to my personal experiences. Furthermore, the paper also explains some of the personal experiences in order to critically analyze the topic. Learning is a lifelong process which starts from childhood and continues throughout the life. I have learned from different experiences both personal and professional. People learn a lot from their personal experiences. The fact of learning throughout life is old as mankind. Learning throughout life is based on a solid background and continuous updating of knowledge and skills (Newman & Newman, 2007). It is now considered as a necessity.
Background
I have learned numerous important lessons in my life through my experiences. These experiences have shaped me into the person I am today. My mother is a minister. The active involvement of my parents with the church has made me a religious individual and I go to church regularly to find peace and spiritual harmony. The reason why I am back in school to finish my studies is that I realized that I have always wanted to become a pastor and fulfill the ordainments of God. My major is Psychology at Morgan and after graduating and obtaining my 4-year ...
