Introduction

The 2010 Haiti earthquake was registered on January 12 of 2010 at 16:53:09 local time (21:53:09 UTC) with epicenter at 15 km from Port-au-Prince, capital of Haiti. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake would have had a magnitude of 7.0 degrees and would have generated at a depth of 10 kilometers. It has also recorded a series of aftershocks, the strongest being the 5.9, 5.5 and 5.1 degrees. In this devastating tragedy, many military forces were deployed in the area to provide the helping services and relieve the pains and problems to the victims of it. Likewise, I have been deployed too and this essay is the personal experience I have faced there.

Those who survived were left with nothing, nothing at all. With no power and feel that now is even more defenseless against any emergency that fear does not take over the day-to-day in all.
