Personal Essay: How I Have Learned To Save Money

Introduction

Living in such a tough economy, it is hard for a person to keep up with monthly expense.

According to a recent survey, In the U.S. only four out of 10 people have an emergency fund to deal with a financial disaster. When it comes to the general public, most people have not saved an emergency insurance fund (Trent, 2008). There are too many people who do not manage their money well. There are many people who simply have no idea of ??how to save. Saving money means having peaceful life in future. I have effectively acquired this skill. In this paper I will discuss how I learned to the valuable lesson of saving money as I have to pay my own bills like gas for my truck, insurance, cell phone bill, and clothes.

I learned the valuable lesson of saving money from my elders specially my mom and dad. From the start I belonged to a middle class family. Although my parents gave me everything which I wished for but at the same time they taught me a vital lesson to wisely save money. When I was a kid, I did not buy groceries, pay my car insurance or pay any other bill but still my parents taught me to practice good saving skills. My parents taught me to save money from the beginning. When I was years old they bought me a piggy bank that allowed me to learn to save.
