Personal Development Plan

Personality refers to an individual's personal traits. Whether a person prefers individualism, self esteemed, locus of control and willingness to help others etc., all lies under the head of personality. A person with an individualistic attitude will never be good in the field of social work. For example, individuals who belong to the field of arts love to work in isolation. Independent working enhances their creativity and working skills (Robbins, 2009, p.96).

I am an introverted person and I have a very small social circle. I am shy and quite personality. I believe in hard work and goal setting. I have a habit is setting goals for myself and work hard to achieve them. I am very sincere and straightforward person. I am a sport lover. I love playing, as well as, watching sports. My favourite free time activity is playing X-box with friends. I am a very friendly and helpful individual and I also like to participate in social works. I have always helped and lead in group assignments and participated in school initiated social works. I am also an emotional individual. I drive my values and principle from my religious background and I really dislike any sort on injustice with anyone.

I have lived a life of middle-class, which has taught me value of education and hard work. I have seen my father working day and night to provide me and my siblings the best possible education and this is another motivation for me to achieve better in life. I want to contribute to my family, as well as society and the field of XXXX give me an opportunity to become a valuable person for my community.

“Time flies never to be recalled”. “As long as you live, keep learning how to live” (Jeremy 2009, pp.110). These two saying summarize my philosophy of life. I have very time conscious and I believe, one must make of his/her time. The best way pass your time is to indulge in learning. Learn through education or learn through playing sport, one should always learn from his activities. In other words, one should participate in those activities which provide some sort of learning, instead of indulging in useless activities (Asher 2008, pp.20).
