I am a student in Business Administration Studies, and I have chosen this field keeping in view of my interests. I have always found the field of business to be attractive as I personally believe that this field provides us with a lot of opportunities which can be availed in the future. The business field requires consultants which can help different organizations by providing them necessary suggestions and advices. I think that during my Bachelors in Business I have done a lot well, and my studies have been according to my interests. That is why I have chosen to complete Business Administration program and become a business consultant or a leader.

Personally I have leadership qualities and I believe that with the passage of time these qualities have enhanced to a great extent. I know I can lead a team and make them work according to my decisions, as I have been practicing this since many years. I possess leadership skills which include motivating the team members, understanding the psyche, analyzing their abilities and skills and assigning them responsibilities accordingly. I want to make my career in the field of business as I believe that I have come into this world to be a part of this field. I have always been keen interested in reading business news and checking the trends in business activities and market. This kept me updated with whatever is going on in the market, and also allowed me to be familiar with the latest news. This interest of mine grew more with the passage of time, and I decided to enter the field of business by studying the different theories and aspects of business world.

Inspiring a Shared Vision

Leaders believe that they can make a difference. They “envision the future, creating an ideal and unique image of what the organization can become” (Kouzes & Posner, 2001). For leaders who have the ability to inspire a shared vision, they were “captivated by their dreams and “obsessed with the need to turn dreams into reality”. (Nanus, 1996) Answers to the questions like how to grow the current size of an organization, how to realize the trends in outside world and how to draw a blueprint of the future involve vision. According to my performance, I've got 44 points on this dimension, which locates in the middle place of the total five and indicates my deficiency of lacking of the sense of direction.

In this section, a good communication skill is in great request. In order to inspire a shared vision, we need to know what is being “shared”. In other words, what do people want to pursue and what interests and hopes do they have. I am going to use the example I mentioned above.
