Introduction

In the recent years, there has been a significant intensification in the area of spirituality. The term “spirituality” is drawn from a Hebrew word “ruach”. This word means “rich” which is generally translated as “spirit”. So in general, spirituality is the life of assurance and faith and assurance and what sources motivates and drives it. The outworking of the religious faith of a person in real life is spirituality.

Spirituality is about what the actions of a person with what he believes. The apprehension for a reliable and rewarded religious life is known as “Spirituality”. Spirituality involves the conveying the thoughts and notions that are characteristic of the religion and the complete experience of spending life on the foundation of and within the scale or limits of that particular religion.

In this regard, the Christian spirituality has gained much popularity in the recent years. The Christian spirituality is the concern for the search of a rewarded and genuine Christian continuation. This includes the fetching of the elementary concepts of the Christianity and complete practice of the life on the source of and limits of the Christian belief (McGrath, 1999).

Hunger for Spirituality

In the present days, the religion is moving away from the life of people however spirituality is taking its place. In the last three decades, there has been a notable search and hunger for the spiritual responds to the mysterious queries of the life. The people are now becoming more aggressive, due to their education and media, to the authorities that emerge to be conventionally or superficially based.

Therefore the religion is going away, however spiritualities that seems to be empirical verification and internal biased are coming in the life of people (Streeter, 2013). There are various reasons for the increasing responsiveness of the spirituality in the Christ followers. These are:

A search for purpose, meaning, and implication among the Christ followers

Persuasion of the ambient interest of the culture in spirituality

Concentrated association towards the discipleship and responsibility

Better accessibility of and experience to the spirituality classics

Prominent scholars and authors that have become dedicated for the communication of these truths (Boa, 2001, pp. 19)

Christian Spirituality Facets

There are a number of approaches to the spiritual life however they are the facets of a big gem which is much larger that the commutation of its parts. The multiplicity and intricacy of the spiritual paths is taken by the wealthy and remarkable pilgrims of God in the older centuries. The present world, the need for the authentic spirituality is increasing rapidly.

This spirituality will handle the lives of the people in a practical and significant manner. This assessment will deal with the need for the authentic spirituality in a number of pathways in the spiritual life (Grau, & Goergen, 2013). All these pathways will help in the energetic process of the spiritual development.

Relational Spirituality
