Introduction

Science fiction is mostly defined, and even described, as prognostic. Science fiction writers are supposed to choose a phenomenon or trend of the here-and-now, intensify and purify it for dramatic effect, and pull it out into the future. A number of writers have contributed in the field of science fiction; some of which are discussed in this paper.
