Introduction

Motivation plays an important part of every organization. Motivation in organizations can be accomplished by finding whatever gets everyone going. Motivation will not be the same for every organization but by finding out what that thing is, the company can be sure the organization will be successful at whatever they attempt (Fitness Equipment & Health, 2007-2008). Job dissatisfaction can also be removed through employee motivation. Evidence suggests that improvement in job satisfaction is directly correlated to improvements in employee performance. Employee satisfaction is regarded to be a complex issue but there are numerous types of human resource management theories and systems which can be implemented in order to improve employee satisfaction, including either shorter time duration of work or through adjustments in compensation and remuneration packages. Some theorists have argued, though, that of all of these efforts, compensation improvements have had the greatest impact on performance outcomes of all of the efforts put in place (Lawler and Worley, 2006).

Several studies concluded a direct relation of employee morale on productivity; that is a more happier employees would be more productive as satisfied with working environment where as the more stressed worker would be less productive. The need and desire to motivate employees have placed managers in the position to implement motivation strategies into the daily routines.

This review of literature assesses the impacts of motivational strategies, especially in the presence of workplace dissatisfaction, to provide support for compensation motivators in a transitioning workplace. It will further access ways of managing stress within organization and also highlights role of equity and other theories in motivating employees. This review provides strategies that management can utilize in order to obtain balance in the office. Taking steps to avert or ease tension in the workplace is key to the overall success of an organization. All this review will enables to help in suggesting solutions for the case.
