Introduction

It is the most common clinical form of pemphigus and represents 85% of the total. It is a serious systemic skin disease characterized by flaccid intraepidermal blisters filled with clear fluid in the skin and mucous membranes that are caused by acantholysis which occurs almost exclusively in middle age of 35 years and older belonging to all races and ethnic groups.
