The USA PATRIOT Act of 2001 intended towards uniting and strengthening America by providing appropriate tools to stop terrorism. It was passed as an American federal law on 25 October 2001 by the Congress in the wake of the war on terrorism. It was a direct response to the terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001.
