This research paper is about the pathogenesis of Trypanosoma evansi causing Trypanosomosis in rabbits, since this infection is producing economical loss by affecting the livestock. That is why in order to sort out this problem importance of trypanosomiasis is mentioned. After that that needs to understand the pathogenesis as well as the pathogenesis of this disease in rabbits is given. After that the clinical signs and symptoms, hematological considerations and the role of immunology is defined. If we will able to understand the cause of a disease then it will be easier to research on the treatment options for the minimization of morbidity and mortality rate in livestock.Introduction
Trypanosomiasis also known as trypanosomosis is a combination of different diseases in animal caused by trypanosomes that is a parasitic protozoan of genus Trypanosoma. Horses are the most affected victims of this disease (Marques et al. 2000) and the significant presentation of this disease is incordination of hind limbs, and the signs and symptoms observed in rabbits are anemia and weight loss, hyperproteinemia due to hypergammaglobulinemia and increased activities of alkaline phospahatase and alanine aminotransferase. That is why rabbits are the excellent subjects for knowing the pathogenesis of this disease.
Trypanosomiasis is a disorder caused by different protozoan of genus Trypanosoma, which can affect animals and humans also. The high important issue is animal trypanosomosis especially in inter tropical areas of Latin America, Asia and Africa because most of the trypanosomiasis causing species are there in their vectors or hosts (Desquesnes, 2004). Trypanosoma evansi is a cause of equine trypanosomiasis in South America. This disease was producing the decrease in the productivity of animals used in livestock that are crucial for conventional extensive cattle ranching. This is very important to know about the pathogenesis of this disease because economical losses are occurring due to the decrease in livestock, because the animals like camels, rabbits, horse, rats and etc are becoming victim of this disease. It is necessary to first understand the phenomenon and then take initiative to resolve this problem.
Discussion
Importance of Trypanosoma Evansi as an Emerging Zoonosis
The importance of Trypanosoma evansi is increasing due to its devastating effects in different animals. It is producing various diseases that infect the animal that produce harmful effects over whole body of the organism. Marked changes in hepatocytes, erythrocytes and in kidney have been observed. This results in increase number of morbidity and mortality of the animals (Taylor & Authie, 2004). The animals that are most affected include dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, camels, buffaloes and mouse. As majority of them are used for different purposes and a part of livestock, thereby contributing to the economy of that region a lot. If these animals continuously remained the victim of this disease then there will be a marked loss economically. That is why it is necessary to think over its solution. In order to prevent or treat the livestock, we must know about the causes of disease, so that ...
